54 Players Maximum – 1 Division – Groups of 3
As much a “learning experience" (as to what you may need to work on) and a fun time as a true tournament. Think you have a well-rounded game (or want to practice getting one)?
Format: Singles-play. 4 Rounds from the short “A" tees. Each player’s tee shot on each hole (of that round) must be a certain type of throw. After the tee shot, you’re “on your own".
All tee shots must be for… Round 1: Forehand; Round 2: Overhand; Round 3: Roller*; Round 4: Backhand * Roller = tee shot must touch ground prior to the ½-way (to the basket) flag. Group consensus will determine “legality" of roller tee shot; if tee shot is “no good", throw “3" from the ½-way flag.
Prizes: Very flat “payout"… each player gets: 1 Champion / ESP / Star / Z disc and 1 DX / Pro-D disc -OR- 2 Elite-X / comparable discs Also: CTPs & CTTs; Lowest score of each round gets 1 “premium" disc
Cost: $20

Just a small time for lunch (between rounds 2 & 3), so BYOLunch
Update: Weather looks like it'll be great! Bring your lunch and your "inventive" skills (to pull off shots you never knew you had)! Hope to see you there.
And there was much rejoicing!! Well, everyone had a good time at least!
The second annual FORB dg tournament was held under super weather. Both "regulars" and new players (to Rutgers dgc) played. Discs were thrown, trees were hit, putts were made and lots was learned. Everyone got 2 / 3 discs of their choosing - usually choosing something they DIDN'T have during the tournament (but now DO)!
