So I qualified for the USADGC by winning AM1 at the Philly Open, and I already signed up.
Another way to qualify for the USADGC (Held June 10-12) is to be in the top 5 rated players in your home state.
New Jersey's qualified players are:
Carey Holleran 12247 NJ USA 960 12 M Trenton Franz 16377 NJ USA 953 8 M Jeff Orlouski 12015 NJ USA 949 7 M Kyle Bennett 31345 NJ USA 949 10 M Mike Fagerstrom 30093 NJ USA 946 16 M
Top 5 Rated (at least 8 rated rounds, minimum 915 rating for MA1) amateur players from each U.S. State that have not already qualified.
I am planning on driving or flying there on 6/11 Thursday and heading home either Sunday 6/14 or Monday 6/15
I have a place to stay near the course for $5.00 per night ( a local pro's house )
and flights are relatively cheap- 150 round trip then rent a car or driving is cheaper.
Carey,
You showed interest in going when we played in Philly... any interest? Kyle? Overall, it will be pretty inexpensive if we drive vs fly and rent a car, plus lodging is basically free. We are provided dinner and lunches by the tournament as well.
I just noticed that Karl qualified for CT as well.
Matt Buono 19987 CT USA 966 9 M Am Billy Dunne 33979 CT USA 962 24 M Am Patrick Barnett 31866 CT USA 944 7 M Am Karl Molitoris 25917 CT USA 944 24 M Am John Cooper 37110 CT USA 934 6 M Am
Erick, I'll be playing a some sort of dg tournament (PDGA, NEFA, etc.) the 6 previous weekends so I think I'll be resting that one (the one of the USADGC). If you go, go luck! Karl
